Recently we purchased our very first lounge suite! It was such an adult thing to do and I feel pretty proud of myself for it. Our couches that we had were mismatched hand me downs. There was nothing wrong with them and we were happy to have them, but I couldn’t wait until we were able to afford our own. When our gorgeous new lounge suite finally arrived I decided that the art on our wall was also in need of a bit of an update. Scroll to the bottom if you want to download the art for yourself!
This was our wall pre new lounge suite. I first put up those frames when we got married which was almost two years ago now! I knew that I wanted to give the lounge wall a bit of an update but waited until our new couch arrived. I found these natural wood poster frames at Kmart for $15 each and knew that they would be perfect! Next step was designing the art. I searched Pinterest and decided on two quotes (both from Pinterest) and then a photo of Aaron and I in the middle.
I made up the art on Adobe Indesign, formatting it to the exact size of the frame (60x90cm), which fits between A0 and A1. I took the designs into Warehouse Stationery and got them printed on A0 card. It cost around $25 for all three which I was pretty pleased with. They even cut them out for me. Bonus!
Once I got the art into the frames, my handy hubby hung them on the wall for me. Usually I do it myself but it takes me about three times longer!
Ugh. I love it so much!
I absolutely adore this photo of Aaron and I that was taken on our engagement shoot by Acorn Photography . Its a bit of a show stopper when its this big too!
