I read somewhere on Facebook that we need to be reflecting on achievements from the year that’s been rather than just setting goals for the future. As a trained teacher, who had to write daily reflections during placements, its fair to say that my reflection skills are at an A+. So here’s to my greatest moments of 2015, with 5 things I achieved in 2015.
I GOT MARRIED.
I think this is one of my top achievements IN MY LIFE. Rephrase: I KNOW this is one of my top achievements. My husband is the greatest man I know and I am so happy that we got married when we did. Life is so much better with him!
I READ THE WHOLE BIBLE.
From the front page to the page, every chapter is ticked off. Some parts I had read 300 times over and others never. No matter how many times I read a verse, I never fail to be amazed by the revelation I receive from it. I was so excited to tick off that last unread chapter. My mind has officially been blown! Now I’m starting round two.
WE MOVED INTO OUR OWN HOME.
I moved out of home for good and moved in with my hubby Aaron. Since then we have shifted into a house on the farm (see here) which is our home that we can decorate to our taste. It’s a total blank canvas and we are free to paint walls and landscape however we choose. EXCITING!
I LAUNCHED A BLOG.
I had been wanting to do this for SO LONG. I was thrilled to finally put my dreams into action by launching Ever So Britty. I have to give the biggest thanks to Abby over at Just a Girl and Her Blog for helping me to get the ball rolling. If it wasn’t for her book Building a Framework (please check this out!) I definitely wouldn’t have been able to launch this.
I GOT A DEGREE.
This is my least exciting achievement on the list. Whaaaaat? Ok, let me explain. I hated studying. Like really couldn’t stand it. So I am so thankful to finally escape university and get my piece of paper at the end. I haven’t got a teaching job lined up for this year but that’s ok. God works in mysterious ways and I’m excited for my future, no matter what that may be!
2015 was a really big year for me! In terms of those ‘life goals’ that everyone aspires to, I think I did most of them in one year. Ha! Must be kids next then huh..? (NO!) What did you get up to? I’m really looking forward to what this will bring for Aaron and I. I can’t wait to cross off my 16 Goals for 2016
