My hubby Aaron and I are big quality time people, but lately we haven’t really been getting out that much. With Aaron being a dairy farmer, spare time can be hard to come by. Therefore, our most adventurous dates are starting a movie after 8.30pm. Yes, you can laugh. Some friends of ours always seemed to be doing fun things together and have their own jar of dates, so I thought I would make my own DIY Date Jar too!
Aaron and I sat down together and would each have a turn writing a date for the jar. We tried to include a range of different things, at different price points, and that would take different amount of time. Basically, a date for any situation!
I popped all the little bits in a jar and made a tag with some gold foil stickers I have. Some of these dates are just a one off, and others will be repeated many times. Isn’t it the cutest? We can’t wait to get out of the house more and do some fun things together.
Here’s a few photos from our first date. A bush walk through the bush! New Zealand is really the most beautiful country.
Have fun dating and making your own DIY date jar!

This is such a gorgeous idea. My partner and I don’t go on many dates, but when we do, we definitely treasure them. Thanks for the inspiration.

Totally! My hubby and I barely leave the farm so change was definitely in order! Thanks for your comment. :)

This is a lovely idea! My husband and I made our own date jar a year or so ago, but it didn’t look anywhere near as pretty as yours does (which probably explains why it ended up in a drawer, lol).
