Today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite suggestions for books to read. While I was at uni I stopped reading for myself as I had to do SO much reading for college. Over the past few months I’ve started reading again and am loving it! Its such a great way to unwind at the end of the day rather than looking at a screen. In this post I’ve included affiliate links for both Fishpond (NZ) and Amazon (everywhere else).
1. The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks
I’m a big Nicholas Sparks fan and a total sucker for a good romance. If you liked the movie, you’ll love the book. Nicholas Sparks has a really interesting way of incorporating different topics into a love story, in this instance, he’s used bull riding and contemporary art!

2. Chasing Hope by Nora Roberts
One of my friends has just introduced me to Nora Roberts and I can’t put her books down! This book is actually two stories. The first about Natasha Stanislaski, and the second about her brother Mikhail. It was so cool to have the stories link in with each other and see the characters develop. I just did a quick Google search and found that there are actually another 4 books about the same family. Guess what I’m reading next?!

3. A Happy Handmade Home by Emma Chapman and Elsie Larson
By now I’m sure you’ve heard me speak of my favourite blog A Beautiful Mess. This book is the second one they wrote and is all about incorporating your personality into your home using handmade elements. Because we’re in the process of renovating our home, I’m a big fan of browsing home and garden magazines and books. This makes a perfect coffee table book, my guests will always pick it up and browse!

4. Fill the Tins by Sophie Gray
This is my all time favourite recipe book. It has so many great basics and is always the first book I look in for a recipe. One of my goals for this year is actually to cook at least 15 recipes from the book. I think I’m currently about half way through.

5. Celebrate by Lauren Conrad
I haven’t actually read this book but it is on my wish list. One of my friends has Lauren Conrad Style and we would spend hours browsing through it.

Happy Weekend everyone! I hope its a goodie!
