When starting this blog I always intended to share quite a bit from our wedding but seem to have forgotten about it along the way. I’ve already shared about our invitations, our candy pouch wedding favours, and things I learnt from planning our wedding. Today I’ve decided to share some of my favourite little details from our rustic wedding. I spent a lot of time going over all the tiny details because they were so important to me! Unfortunately, we forgot to take a lot of photos of different things and didn’t mention it to the photographer so some details are just a memory (lesson for all you future brides!).
The Men
There were many discussions about what the men were to wear. Hubby and I had some differing opinions on how they should look but in the end the groom was able to be convinced! We decided to go for a very classic look. The groom and groomsmen wore black suits, white shirts, black shoes and a black bowtie. To make the groom look a little different, I swapped out the white buttons on his shirt for black ones. The suits were all hired from MervnMilly, the shirts were purchased with a 2 for $60 deal at Hallensteins and the groomsmen provided their own shoes. The white buttonholes came from our florist- All for Love Flowers. As a gift for my groom, I sent him these personalised undies and these socks so he didn’t get cold feet! The undies are still his favourite and are pulled out for special occasions! Check out My Wedding Shop for lots more personalised wedding apparel. They have some really cool stuff!I just thought I would share this photo of my little brother who looked pretty dapper in his get up for the day. He was wearing black braces from Hallensteins and a bowtie from Asos. He also had personalised ‘Usher’ socks from My Wedding Shop.
The Ladies
For my wonderful bridesmaids I made up a wee gift for them to open on the morning of the wedding. I purchased some cute gift bags and popped inside a robe that they wore the morning of the wedding (from Ali Express) and a pearl bracelet from my Mum’s gift shop Frenchpolish. I had two fussy bridesmaids (sisters) who refused to wear heels so we found these cute sandals from Forever New for them. The bridesmaids’ infinity dresses were one of my favourite parts of the day. They just looked so gorgeous all together! I got them from Etsy here. They’re actually made out of a jersey fabric so fit all sizes and are amazingly easy to hem, plus there are endless ways to wear them. I hemmed all the dresses the night before just be cutting the fabric. So easy! My maids and I spend hours playing with different ways to tie up the dresses before we decided on one. During the dance, my maids even had a switch around and changed their dresses which was fun.
The Bride
Something Old: My earrings that I wore for my high school ball. Originally purchased from Pagani.
Something New: My gorgeous lace wedding dress was purchased from MervnMilly, along with my floor length veil. I found my bracelet at Forever New which matched my other jewellery perfectly. My engagement and wedding rings are from Michael Hill.
Something Borrowed: I borrowed my Mum’s garter from her wedding day which was special!
Something Blue: The garter I wore had a little blue flower on it. My beautiful bouquet from All for Love Flowers also had blue flowers in it.

I like that your bridesmaids are in different but complimentary colours, it looks lovely and modern but classy at the same time. The lace detail on your dress is gorgeous too!

Oh thank you! I’m a pretty lucky lady too! I would like to say that he did well choosing a ring, but I circled it in the catalogue! Haha, he did well buying it though. :) I think our young female photographer was a bit alarmed when she turned up to see the boys and they demanded that she take photos of their bums!

Thanks for sharing your gorgeous wedding, Brittney! You all look so lovely. Remembering to take photos of everything in your special day is so difficult. I remember at my wedding there was certain things I wanted to take but still forgot some.

Thanks Karen! It’s such a pain isn’t it! I thought my list for the photographer was rather thorough but obviously not. lol
