You know when you suddenly realise that you’re going to a ‘ladies bring a plate’ event and totally forget until the last minute? This is for those moments. This is definitely my go-to recipe as I always have the ingredients in the pantry and they’re super yummy!
You will need:
- 2 cups flour
- 3 Tbsp yeast
- 175ml warm water
- 4 tsp oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 100g cheese
- rosemary and oregano
- ham
- a variety of sauces
Mix the yeast and water together quickly.
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together to form a dough. I love to use my Kenwood mixer and dough hook for this!
Roll the dough out on a floured surface. Cut the edges to form a rectangle and roll back into the dough.
Cover the base in sauce. I usually do a mix of tomato and sweet chilli.
Cover with grated cheese, strips of ham and a little BBQ sauce. If you’re like me and despise grating things, slices of cheese work too!
Roll your dough up tightly and cut strips about 1 inch wide. Use lots of back and forth motion with the knife so the scroll keeps its round shape and doesn’t squish.
Place on a tray and cook in a moderate oven for 10 minutes.
Easy peasy! I love the versatility of these and how you can throw any pizza ingredients in there. Happy baking!

Brilliant. This is definitely an easy appetizer to bring! Also, I think my kids would love this for lunch or even one of our family meetings. We just eat snacks stuff for dinner on family meeting day, this is perfect. Thanks! Pinning!
